I am looking for information on a William Ferguson, his son was Thomas Ferguson born around 1838 in Mabuoy, Ireland, he married Nov. 25th 1862 in the Parish Church of Lissan Magherfelt to Mary Moore who's father was Archibald Moore, Mom I think was Ellen, . Thomas died Feb. 26 1915, in Drum, Cookstown and is buried Feb. 28th 1915 in Kildress Parish Church, Cookstown. I have all the information on Thomas and Mary's children, but looking for information on William Ferguson and also Archibald Moore and their family. Thank you. Pat Moreland

Mema,
Thomas’s marriage certificate records that his father had died by 1862. That’s before the start of death registration so you won’t get a death certificate for William.
I looked in Griffiths Valuation for Mobuy. The only Ferguson farm there in 1859 was held by Andrew. He had plot 89 which was 38 acre farm. Possibly a relation to Thomas?
This family was there in 1901 but John’s father was named George, so not sur eif there is any connection.

The family were Church of Ireland. Might be worth searching Lissan COI baptism and marriage records to see if you can learn more about William and his family.
Here’s Mary Moore’s father Archibald’s death at Claggan in 1879. His wife was still alive. Informant was Ellen Jane Moore.
No Moores listed in Claggan in the 1831 census, so they appear to have arrived after that year. Likewise no Fergusons in Maboy then either.
