My grandfather William Joseph Aloysius Mahoney came to Canada from Ireland in about 1884-1886 as a British Home Child He had no birth certicate, just a photograph of himself as a baby with his mother. He thought he was 12 years old when he came to Canada and he thought his birthday was November 17. He said he came from Wexford but it's unknown if it was the town or the county and unknown if he was actually born in Wexford. His mother's name was possibly Mary Anne Green(e). I have searched all the usual sites such as Ancestry, MyHeritage, Roots Ireland, FamilySearch without success. Posting here in case someone knows of a Wexford connection to him.
