We are expanding our core team and inviting applications for two new positions.

Both of the positions offer an opportunity to use your skills and experience in a highly innovative and fast-moving environment. We have more than 100,000 members all over the world and everyday brings new connections, exciting discoveries and an opportunity to impact Ireland’s standing as a leader in diaspora engagement. As a member of a small but dynamic team, your contribution will be a vital factor in the evolution of this globally successful programme.

These positions are remotely-located and require exceptional computer and communications skills.

You will need to possess a complete home computing solution, have access to broadband internet and be able to interview for this position via skype/google talk. Working hours must be conducted between 9am and 9pm Irish time.

Services Coordinator

The Ireland Reaching Out Services Coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager and the Volunteer Coordinator in the running of the programme. They will provide support and guidance to our members and volunteers, ensuring that every interaction with the IrelandXO programme is an excellent one.

Responsibilities include:

Volunteer coordination:

  • Policies management
  • Database management
  • Communications
  • Recruitment

Programme Management:

  • Client service (via email, phone)
  • Basic website management (re-setting passwords etc)
  • Records management (administrative)
  • Partnership management (Government and semi-state agencies)
  • Content creation and moderation (digital)
  • CRM planning, scheduling, implementation (training will be provided)

Skills required

  • Excellent IT skills – email, communications, presentations, project management
  • Strong Interpersonal skills – ability to interact comfortably with members, volunteers and stakeholders
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Must be comfortable managing databases and large amounts of data
  • Experience with working with websites an advantage
  • Previous volunteer management an advantage
  • Knowledge of General Data Protection Rules (GDPR)
  • Self-motivated and disciplined - this is a work-from-home position and requires excellent time management and work-related communication skills.

Digital Marketing Executive

Ireland Reaching Out has developed a unique and exciting platform for enabling local Irish communities to engage directly with their global diaspora. We have an ambitious growth plan and our digital marketing activity is target-driven. We’ve successfully adopted an inbound digital marketing strategy and are looking for a creative and future-thinking individual to develop the strategy further and to implement all activities related to online marketing.

Responsibilities include:

Content management

  • Planning and implementing a content strategy for IrelandXO.com inline with their digital marketing plan
  • Sourcing and editing of expert material
  • Writing of Connection Stories and other articles
  • Help and guidance for content creation at local level

Website Moderation

  • Moderation, editing and publishing of all crowd-sourced content
  • Follow-up on crowd-sourced content (fact checking, promotion, research, writing)

Digital Marketing

  • SEO for all website content
  • Social media
  • CRM (training will be provided). Preparation of emails, landing pages, workflows.
  • Inbound link building
  • Blog writing – on own website and external

Skills required

  • A third level qualification in digital marketing
  • Previous experience as a professional digital marketeer
  • Excellent understanding of all digital marketing analytical tools.
  • Excellent writing skills with an interest in Irish cultural and heritage related topics
  • Graphic Design skills a plus
  • Ability to manage and develop partnerships relations, and network both offline and online.
  • Must be comfortable managing databases and large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of General Data Protection Rules (GDPR)
  • Self-motivated and disciplined - this is a work-from-home position and requires excellent time management and work-related communication skills.
