Many people in Mexico and Texas bear the name St John Clerke and all are descendant from Henry, who was born in Skibbereen, County Cork.

James Power 1778

A native of County Wexford, James became a citizen of Mexico in 1809, and founded an Irish settlement under Mexican jurisdiction in the state of Texas.
