PRONI (free) has some early Simms in the Dissenters List 1775 in Antrim: (Proni.gov.uk - name search)

I couldn't find any in the 1821, 31, 41 or 51 Irish Censuses

There are some Sim & Simms in the Tithe Applotments 1823-37 but none in Antrim

Mullaghbrack is acutally in Co Armagh, not Antrim. What denomination were your family and have you looked for church records there yet?

I'am sorry but yes John Sim was born around Mullaghbrack, Armagh not Antrim. I think they were Presbyterian at this time.He was married in 1838 in Kilwinning ,Ayrshire ,Scotland. 

Nearest Presbyterian churhces to Mullaghbrack are Markethill 1st whose records start in 1843 and Markethill 2nd with records from 1821. So neither is early enough to trace the family if that's where they attended. No easy way forward from that.
