Searching for the records of Robert Alexander Anderson, son of Thomas Anderson, who married Rebecca McBride in 1861 at Alfred Street Presbyterian Church, in Belfast. I would like to know what happened to him as he is my Great Great Grandfather who left home for some reason. My GG Grandmother Rebecca is listed in census records alone most of the time. Most of their sons immigrated to the US and established lives here. My Great Grandfather David Anderson had an extensive career in Ohio. The daughters stayed in Ireland and married. I have been in contact with a cousin in Dublin, but apparently they don't have any information about him either.

Rebecca’s death certificate on 20.4.1911 describes her as the widow of Robert Alexander Anderson, wholesale grocer. So he was dead by 1911, apparently dying between 1901 (when Rebecca is shown as married) & 1911.
1911 census:

I don’t see a death in Ireland that fits, nor do I see Robert anywhere in Ireland in the 1901 census. Have you searched the Scottish and English censuses for him?

Thanks for your help! I have been looking in the other census, but so far all the Robert Alexander Andersons have different wives. I know he went somewhere because there is a letter to my GGrandfather in which Rebecca says she heard from him but there was nothing good to report, but that was all.
