Seeking information about Catherine Magee/McGee
born 1830 Crumlin or Belfast , Antrim Ireland
Parents may be Arthur and Jane?
She was possible part of a program of shipping Irish Orphans from N. Ireland to Australia. Catherine aged 18 and Anne Jane Best and her sister Margaret Best were all on the ship Lord Gray. Both Catherine and Anne were witnesses to each others marriages in Sydney.
Marriage Information
Date 13 July 1849 to Charles Brown.
At the St Andrews Presbyterian Church of Scotland.Sydney, New South Wales, Australia The witnesses were William and Anne J. Burtenshaw(nee Best) and William Birchmore.
Catherine died in Death 1907 at Echuca, Victoria Australia.
Catherine and Charles worked the goldfield in Victoria after marrying. finally settling in Echuca Charles worked at the saw mills and Riverboats. they had 12 children.
