Looking for info on John Petticrew who married Margaret Dempsey (b. approx. 1790). They emigrated from Belfast area to US in 1817 with infant daughter Eliza. They may have been Quakers. Settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, then Corydon, Indiana. John Petticrew made longcase clocks in the Scottish style and may have apprenticed in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.

Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.

    Kind regards,
