Hugh Parkhill born about 1816 in Ireland
Married Sarah Ann Fitzpatrick on Dec. 4, 1857 in Ballymoney, Antrim, N. Ireland
Died December 1886 in Ballymoney, Antrim
Children were: Samuel J. Parkhill (born May 31, 1838 in Portrush, Antrim, N. Ireland) and John Parkhill
Samuel J. Parkhill emigrated to the United States at age 16 (around 1832). He is my great-great-grandfather.
I have hit a dead end in discovering more about Hugh and his family, his parents' names, siblings, etc. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

I had a look at the Rev Park’s 1817 census of Ballymoney and there are no Parkhill households listed at all. So possibly the family were not from that immediate area. (Tradition was to marry in the bride’s church). Having said that there aren’t any Fitzgerald households listed either.
Griffiths Valuation for 1861 has just 2 Parkhill households in the Ballymoney area. One in Dunaverney and the other in Kilmoyle Upper.
What was the townland/address and occupation given on the 1886 death certificate?

i can't thank you enough for taking the time to search this for me!!! I think you've kept me from a wild goose chase. I cannot find any documents confirming these parents for Samuel Parkhill and a US Iowa census lists his father as from Scotland and his mother from Ireland. Since Samuel was born in Portrush, Antrim, I'll start looking in that area. I really do appreciate your help more than you can know.
