My G Grandfather was also named William McCrea (born 1847 in Skilganiban) and married Agnes Blair (born 1843) in Ballyeaston 1867. There was a Sarah McCrea who was also on Green Rd., Ballyclare, in the 1911 census whom I believe to be related to my William, possibly a cousin, but I have not made the connection.
Beyond the census of 1911, I have no information on my great grandparents and do not know where or when they died or where they are buried. I believe William's father was born in Scotland.
In the 1911 census that was an Agnes Blair (age 59) listed as a widow who was in the home of William and Agnes McCrea. She most likely was married to my G Grandmother's brother and her occupation was listed as a nurse. She was married for 40 years and had no children.
I am looking for info on William & Agnes, their sons William, James and Andrew. Their son Robert (b 1868) married Jane Elliott (b 1868) and emegrated to Montreal in the 1920's. Son Thomas McCord McCrea, my grandfather, married Mary Beggs in June 1906 and came to Rhode Island the same year leaving Mary and their daughter Phoebe to live with his parents. Son John Blair McCrea (b 1872) married Maria Cummings (b 1877) and had sons William and Francis. Daughter Ellen married Samuel Reid and emegrated to Chicago via Canada.
