Hi Folks,
This is a new venture for me, it certainly looks most promising.
I have been trying for years to discover what happened to this family, with only minimal success.
John Joseph McKeesick was born, I think, in (Larne?) Antrim, I found him on census:
1901 TL Bay, DED Ardclinis(?)
Francis McKeesick, 80, Widower
Rose McKeesick, 36
John McKeesick, Grandson, 17 - All I. & E.
...................................................
1911 - Bay Ardclinis
Rose McKeesick, 54, Seamstress
John Joseph McKeesick, Nephew, 27
.................................................
At some date he was over in England, Burnley, Lancashire where in 1920 he married a Mabel Hannah Tempest; at R.O.Later in Burnley, 1924 they had a daur: Angela Marie Janette McKeesick.
I have a letter sent from USA to my mother from Mabel's sister stating that John, Mabel & daur had moved to Larne, Antrim, that Angela had a heart defect but had subsequently married.
I also found a WW1 Medal Card record for John with an entry for a Victory Medal, Labour Corp.
I aslo found dated 10 Sep 1941 to 30 Oct 1942 - Letter from John J McKeesick, Larne, whose house had been requistioned by the military authorities, apparently seeking some sort of dispensation.
And that's it, not a lot to go on, I wonder if anyone can suggest a way forward?
Thanks.

I presume the key events you are after are John & Mabel?s deaths and Angela?s marriage. Unfortunately births, deaths & marriages in Northern Ireland from 1.1.1922 onwards are not on-line anywhere and so you would need to contact GRONI in Belfast to search for them:
http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/gro
Griffiths Valuation for 1861 list Archdall McKissig with c 4 acres of land in Bay (plot 7) and John McKissig with a house & small garden (plot 15o). In 1882 plot 7 changed to Francis McKissock and in 1905 it was in Rose?s name. It changed toi the O?Gorman family in 1927. 15(o) passed out of the McKissick family?s possession in 1877. Plot 7 is just set back from the coast road near the point where the Glen Rd meets the A2 coast road. You can see it on Griffiths maps.

Checking correspondence enables a slight update to earlier posting.
So John Joseph McKeesick certainly was living in Bay in 1911, married Mabel Tempest in 1920, Burnley Lancashire, England.
They had one child Angela Marie Janette McKeesick in 1924.
I believe they then moved to Larne in 1936, John Joseph went blind, and daur. Angela suffered a heart condition which prevented her continued attendance at school.
Family report (Unsubstantiated) was that Angela later married someone named Kane.It would also appear that this family were still resident in Ardclinis Parish in 1942.
Surely someone will still remember this family?
Sadly, I cannot travel over there now, so I just live in hope of a local response to this plea. -
The McKessick family are interred in the R.C. section of Greenland cemetery, Larne. Burials: John McKessick 21.05.1955, Mabel McKessick 16.11.1968, Angela Muriel KANE 07.11.1992, William Kane 26.01.1994

Wonderful, truly wonderful, at last a possible breakthrough, thank you so much.
I am not sure if the two latter burials are John & Mabel's children or grandchildren, I don't suppose any ages were given were they?
I have two photographs that were enclosed in the letter from America sent to my late mother, I have always assumed they were of John & Mabel, but that will probably never be solved.(There may well be desendants still around - probably KANE's that could confirm this.)
What a superb list this is, I am now going to explore it further.
Cheers
