Hi! Can you please help with further details, if available, of the McCullough/Graham family and its offshoot the Esler/McCullough marriage?

William McCullough, farmer
b abt 1782
d 9/4/1874, Broughshane Presbyterian Cemetery (I think this is our William)

Margaret Graham
b abt 1791, Kinbally?
d 8/11/1856, Broughshane Presbyterian Cemetery I think this is our Margaret)

Their daughter Jane Eliza McCullough b 1814 Co Antrim (d 26/10/1891, Durham Ox, Australia)

married

Andrew Esler b 1814 Glenwhirry (d Emu Creek, buried Durham Ox, Australia). Son of David Esler and Ann Sanderson.

Can you please help? The Australian death certificates of Andrew and Jane Eliza have confirmed the basic parentage details. Are you able to help fill in the gaps? Siblings? Further details of ancestors? Any assistance would be gratefully received. Thank you.

    You can view the death certificate for William McCullough who died 9.4.1874 on-line. It?s on the GRONI site and will cost you ?2 to view, using the ?search registrations? option:

    (You will need to open an account and buy some credits. It costs ?2 to a view a certificate).

    The death was registered in Ballymena. The death certificate should confirm his address and occupation at the time of death, information which may enable you to locate his farm. The informant?s details and address may also be helpful.

    I am wondering whether your Margaret Graham might be a distant relative of the Martha Graham who married George Lamont in 1897 and who is shown on the 1901 and 1911 census at No. 130 (Upper Broughshane)​.

    Thank you for your message. I have little information about Margaret Graham's family, sadly. I haven't found a Martha Graham or the Lamont connection before but it would be exciting if there was, indeed! Due to family committments, I haven't been on the family history trail of late. If I find any connection at a later date I'll post the information here for you.
