Hi,
I am descended from Jane Courtney Greer (b. 1833 in Cloughanduff, Templepatrick. She was the daughter of James and Hannah (Skelton) Greer. Jane immigrated to New York as a teen with her older brother James about 1848. She later married Robert Greer in Livingston Co, NY. Her sister Mary Ann Courtney married Robert's brother John Greer. Later they all moved to Kalamazoo County, Michigan near the town of Augusta. There has been a yearly reunion of their descendents until just the past couple of years. The Courtneys and Greers attended the Templepatrick Presbyterian Church.

The Greers and Courtneys were members of the Templepatrick Presbyterian Church. They remained with the "orthodox" branch when the "non-subscirbing" branch separated about 1830. Records of the family after 1830 are available online, but the baptismal records prior to the split apparently remained with the "non-subscribing" group. These records appear to be preserved in manuscript form at the Presbyterian Historical Society. I am wondering if there are any abstracts available for these earlier records - in order to determine the parentage of James and Sarah (Laird) Greer and James and Hannah (Skelton) Courtney - or if there are any local researchers willing to look for these records.
I know this is a long-shot, but thought it would be worth checking.

David, No abstracts as far as I am aware. PRONI has a list of researchers on their website who you could contact to look the records up. (There's ne copy in PRONI and another in the Presbyterian Historical Society but in either event you would need to get a researcher to go through them).
