Hi, any information on the above people, actual birth dates, when they were married, i am guessing around 1845, their daughter was born Dec 1846, they immigrated to australia arriving Dec 1861 on the Ship "Donald Mckay", the town that i have found mentioned is Newtonhamilton, any infomation would be greatly appreciated

Newtownhamilton is actually a parish itself in Co. Armagh:
There is a James McMurray recorded on the parish in 1864 in Griffith?s Valuation. Is there a James in your family tree?
You could try looking in church records to see if you can find any more information. Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. One website that you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. It also shows you where copies of the records are available. Newtownhamilton belongs to the RC parish of Lower Creggan, to see what is available there follow this link:
