Search for Donnelly/Burns
Hi from Canada !
My great Grand Parents were William Donnelly and Mary Donnelly, My great Grandmothers maiden name was Burns. My Grandfather's name was James Donnelly born in Terreskane, 1907, I believe this is where my great grandmothers people were as I have my great grandfather from not to far away Ballymartrim. I do not have much information about my Gramps people in Ireland other than perhaps there was a brothers one called patrick.
My Grandfather immigrated to Canada from Belfast when he was 28 years old, so he must have firmly planted roots in Ireland , leaving both William and Mary. My grandfather Married my grandmother in Thamesville Onatario when he turned 31 and on St Patricks day 1939, no one from home to stand by him, he picked the day.
Well unfornunately my grandfather James died in a train accident , in Brampton Ontario , Canada in Jan 1966, he had 5 sons and 3 daughters in Canada so there you go. If anyone recognizes these names, please contact me rlfdonnelly@gmail.com
I had a wonderful time when I visited Ireland for the first time , felt so wonderful to see my grandfathers home through his eyes..Well there's a bunch of us Irish Canadians wondering where our Gramps family in Ireland is so ..putting it in Gods hands ..cheers
