Hi, I am searching for relatives of James McKeone (McKeown) and Mary McCruish (McCreesh) McKeown. I hired Armach Ancestry several years ago (approximately 1996) and they found these records for me. The townland in which they lived was Drummilley, and James McKeown's occupation was a farmer. The nearest town was Mountnorris (i believe). They were married on 2/2/1858 in the Loughgilly Catholic church in Armagh and their witnesses were Thomas McCourt and Mary McKeone (assuming it's James sister). Their townland was
They baptised several children in the Parish of Loughilly, including:
Ellen McKeone on 6-1-1860, sponsors were Francis Maguire and Catherine McCoy
Bridget McKeown on 22-3-863, sponsors weere John McCreesh and Mary Mulhollan
John McKeown on 29-1-1865, sponsors were Michael McKeown and Bridget McCreesh
Edward McKeown on 8-8-1867, sponsors were Felix McCreesh and Rose McParland
Peter McKeowne on 3-22-1869, sponsors were Pat McArdle and Catherine Burns
They also had a son Patrick, my Great Grandfather, born in April, 1862. Not sure why he was not on the County Armach Catholic registers unless he was a nephew that was adopted??
They emigrated to the United States around 1870 and had 2 more children. They lived in Perry County, OH and are my Irish ancestors.

Hello Tim, yes I am still interested and searching for my Armagh ancestors McKeown. Our name was changed to McCune when they emigrated to the US in 1870's. Let me know how we can connect/share research.
