robert hatch 1806 married Maryann Thompson in Newry in 1828 they had two children William and Sophia and then went to Tasmania in 1832 then onto Queanbeyan and Goulburne NSW
Robert had a baker shop in Newry he sold in 1830 and found another house in warrpojnf sold by a Robert hatch also His parents were William hatch and Jane Heenan but we have tried for over twenty years to find his parents without success Robert was born in Newry Mary Ann parents were James and probably Sophia Yeats
My aunt recorded the many thousands of his descendants who came to Australia I have these and 3000 more on my wiki tree These families include the dwyers, hamilitons, mccaffeys, Kingston's, bruce's, and many other families
Am anxious to connect with William hatch and Jane Heenan and Marianne's parents James and Sophia Yeats spelling may vary but would love information about them to share with our very large family
Thankyou this is a great site found my ancestors on my fathers side through it Thankyou

Jeanne:
Welcome back!
We have a parish liaison in Newry so I will send an e-mail to her.
Can you clarify the religious denomination of your family?

Also what is the source of the information you have for the marriage and birth of the children?

Sorry source for his marriage was found on a website it was a large website documentingmany inhabitants of newry going back to about 1650
Roberts childrens DO B was taken from threir birth certificates. He was definitely a baker noted on his trade on arrival in Australia . There are William Hatches from Louth but know also there is a James Hatch born about 1780 who was a cabinet maker know he had sons in the police force over a number of generations can't find anything to connect him to Robert however
Know there were some heenans hankins or henans in Newry per 1800 not ablre to connect them to william hatch however
many thanks agin fr helping my family
Best wishes

Many thanks for all your research. Appears William Hatch and Jane Heenan 1776 may have lived in Kings Offaly and was a baker according to the Muckelston Family tree, not sure how much faith to put in it however or if records exist for Kings Offally to check this. i think Robert mnay have been a soldier or in the marines went he went to Tasmania not as a convict however possibly ran a pub there
However Robert Hatch Protestant was born in Newry, Down about 1806 married Mary Ann Thompson in 1828also in Newry also His first two chn William 1829 and Sophia 1830 were born there also . I did find a james Hatch bt 1780 lived in Newry and found a families of policemen descended from him into the 1900's but I am not sure its Roberts family. My aunt found the sale of his Robert Hatch 1806 bakers shop in Newry evidently he lived next door to the Thompsons but think James Thomason and Mary Yeats I recently found on a an ancestry family tree were in Saintfield were possibly Mary annes parents as we have a yeats middle name in one of Roberts children.
Any help gratefully recieved many thanks
