There don't seem to be many "Wiles" in Ireland at all.  I am related to an Eliza Wiles who married Alexander Jenkins and lived in Altnamakin around 1860.  Eliza had several sisters and a couple of brothers but can't find any living Wiles, or anyone else researching them.

Would like to make contact with anyone researching Jenkins as well.

Many thanks. Sally

  • Thank you Cecil. I have David and all his family. I really want to go further backwards. It was lovely to find them in the early census but still looking for more in Newtownhamilton.
    Thank you for looking.

  • So sorry Cecil. Am now raring to go with all branches as have retired!

    How do I contact you?

    My line is:
    Me... born Sarah Moir
    My mum born Jane Johnston
Her mum, my grandmother born Alice Jenkins
Her dad, my great grandfather born Alexander Jenkins
His mum, my great great grandmother born Eliza Wiles.

I am so interested in the Wiles family due to family stories and the lack of information. I am now in contact with a lovely "cousin" who is also descended from Eliza Wiles through a child of her second marriage.
