I am searching for ancestors to Adam Chambers b.1797 d.?? He married Anne McCormick in 1826. I know that Adam and Anne had six children James b.1827, William b.1829, George b.1831, Ann b. 1834, Margaret b.1837 and John 1841 (they may be more I don't know of). I am a direct decendent of John. I'm after any information that is available on Adam and his children as I've found very little. Even better, any information on Adam's siblings or parents as I can't find any information. They may have moved to Seagoe as I can't find any info???
I do know that Adam joined the army in 1811 aged 14 and served in India in the 1st Battalion of the 89th Regiment of the foot under Captain Lorenzo Nunn. He returned to England in 1825 and was discharged in 1826.
This is all I know about Adam, any help would be so much appreciated.

As you can see from the link below, Seagoe is a Civil Parish in Co. Armagh:
Church of Ireland records for that parish begin in 1683 though there are some missing records in the series. Records for the corresponding Roman Catholic Parish of Derrymacash begin in 1836. If your ancestor, Adam, was Roman Catholic there will be no church record of his baptism or marriage as these events predate the records for that parish. If however he was Church of Ireland, you could try searching the sites below for a record of his baptism and marriage. Was he married in Ireland or the UK?
www.familysearch.org has a huge database of genealogical records including some church records for Ireland.
www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Irish Church records, however you have to pay to use this site.
