Looking to establish the origins of Charles William Lutton from Northern Ireland who sailed from Greenock, Scotland in September 1843 with his family for Australia.  He was a protestant that married a Roman Catholic, Margaret McBride, somewhere around 1833.  The ship's records indicate he was then 33 years of age and came from County Down, and possible from the Parish of Drumbo.  Margaret McBride was from County Antrim.

It is suspected that his younger brother was Andrew James Lutton, a wealthy landowner in Portadown, County Armagh and who married Sarah Porter in the Parish of Seagoe in 1847.  Both men's parents are recorded as John and Sarah Lutton.  Andrew James Lutton once owned a linen factory if Edenderry.
