 James Murphy and Elizabeth Maher were married in the parish of Leighlinbridge on 13 Jan 1821 and were the baptisimal sponsors of Edward Maher, the son of Patrick Maher and Mary Phelan on 19 May 1821
 Their eldestst son, John Murphy, was baptised at Leighlinbridge on Dec 24, 1821 with sponsors Thomas Maher and Ellen Kerinan.
