I have traced my Simons ancestors in Cortober townland renting land from Lord Clements back to the mid 1700s when the Clements family took over the Ashfield estate lands from the Ashe family. I do not know yet where they were before that.
I have a bit of information about Simons' families in other townlands in Kildrumsherdan.
I have done DNA testing through Family Tree DNA and would be happy to share information with anyone.
I am also interested in the McAdam family of Doocarrick townland in Kildrumsherdan, though John McAdam is the main researcher for that family.
