Hello,
Thank You for taking on this great task, return of the Earls!.
I'm in search of the birth record for my Great Grandfather John F. Molloy b. Dec. 1861 Father is Michael Molloy and Mother is Mary Reilly.
Michael and Mary had another son Andrew, I have a copy of his birth, born 16 March 1865 Parish of Lurgan Father lived at (Fartha?)
I would also be interested the Marrage record for Michael and Mary.
John Molloy emmergrated to Boston Massachusetts in the early 1880 (spring time) and lived in Lowell Massachusetts. John married at Lowell Massachusetts, Bridget McGillick from County Meath. Her parents are John McGillick and Ann Smith. Bridget followed John Molloy to the states a few months after.
Together John and Bridget had 8 children: Mary R., Annie J., Michael A., James J., Andrew M., Catherine T., Verecinda M. and Mathew F.
Thank You in advance, thank you so much for this undertaking regardless of the results.
All the Best,
James (Seamus) Molloy

I happened to be looking up my family records yesterday in Carnaross parish,Co. Meath and noticed the Molloy name turning up frequently.I don't know if this is your family as at the time I didn't note the townland name. Carnaross is very close to Fartagh and residents of this townland often use Carnaross church. It might well be worth your while to check records here.

Seamus,
There were 2 Molloy families living in Fartagh 100 years ago or so. Both may well have been related. The remains of one Molloy house still exist. I am still waiting for some of the local people in the area to get back to me. There are relations of one of the Molloy families in Fartagh who say they have a photo of the last Molloy brothers.
Heading away for a holiday but will be in touch as soon as I hear something of interest.
