    Hi,

    Thank you for your message.

Do you have any other information on Daniel or Winifred that you can share? Do you know the names of their parents, or any siblings or children that they may have had? Do you know their religious denomination?

Most importantly do you have any documentation pertaining to either of them that mentions a specific townland/parish/village/town in Cavan? Most Irish record sources- church records, land records, census records- are based on specific locations. Until you know a specific location within Ireland, preferably a parish or placename, it may be difficult to do anything more with these records.

Did they emigrate? if they did do you know much about their emigration? Generally more information was given at the port of arrival rather than that of departure, so if you knew what city they arrived at it may give you more information-and perhaps even an exact place of origin.

You could try looking for Danile or Winifred in Griffith's Valuation. This was a land survey carried out between 1848-1864. Although it doesn't offer any genealogical information it can sometimes be used to tie a person to a specific place. You can check this here:

If you know their parents' names you could also check the earlier land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) here:
