My mother's maiden name is Lynch and we know there is a Cavan connection. I have a copy of the marriage certificate of Thomas Lynch and Ann Clerkin on Feb 13th 1872. I can't make out all the details on the form but I have attached in case a person with local knowledge can help with the detail? Also Thomas was part of the Cavan Militia according to the certificate. I would like to know more about the militia and also if there are any militia records on him? Apologies for getting this mixed up.
Thomas Lynch is my maternal grandfather and he was born in Glasgow.
His parents were James Lynch and Ann Clerkin as per the marriage certificate. Thanks for spotting the error in my message.
If there's any detail you can add I would be really grateful.
