I have the birth and baptismal certificate for my great grandmother Anne Dunne born 27th, August 1878. Dioces of Kilmore Mullagh Parish. Her parents were Phillip Dunne and Catherine Brady.
Anne left for America and married Joseph Murray from the Westmeath area in New York in 1904. Anne traveled with her sister Elizabeth (b.3/23/1875) and left behind Matthew Dunne, John Dunne, Bridget Dunne* at least to our knowledge. I am looking for any information on the brothers and sister she left behind.

The family lived in Leitrim townland. below are the 1901 and 1911 census records. There were three unmarried children living with the father Philip: Matthew, Anne and John. So maybe your great-grandmother was Bridget? The 1911 census indicates that Philip and Catherine had five children and it appears Catherine died in childbirth ( with Anne) after 15 years of marriage. I'm guessing around 1880. I will look for a death index record.

I checked further and Leitrim is actually in the parish of Loughan or Castlekeeran which is the parish just to the southwest of Mullagh. I looked in the Kells registration district and the best death index record I could find was in 1883. So maybe she did not died in childbirth if Anne was the youngest child. If you want to get a copy of this record from the General Register Office let me knwo and I will forward instructions. A copy costs around 4 euros.

It has long been expected that Bridget took Anne's identy when coming to the Unitede States with Elizabeth. My Great Aunt Betty (Elizabeth) was still alive when I was younger and she would never speak of the family back home. We found a letter from Phillip Dunne expressing his joy and surprise to hear that the youngest daughter had married - that would make my great grandmoth Bridget not Anne as she went by here.
