My grandfather, Philip O'Reilly emigrated from Ireland to New Zealand in 1879 and five years later his parents, Thomas and Mary Reilly (nee Smyth) also came to New Zealand.  Philip was the eldest of his family, followed by Patrick, Bridget, Mary, Catherine, Thomas, Alice, David, Roseanne and John Joseph.

Thomas's parents were Philip and Bridget (Lee).

Mary's parents were Nicholas and Ellen Smyth (Fox).

They lived in Cloughbally Upper, Mullagh.

I have contact with descendants of the Smyths, namely Eileen Smith of Cloughbally Upper. Her late husband was David Smith.

I would like to contact descendants of Philip and Bridget (Lee) Reilly.

I have been doing family research for many years and have already published a book on my grandfather, Philip O'Reilly and his descendants.  The book is entitled "The O'Reillys in New Zealand " and was only completed recently.

The book has 200 A4 pages with many photographs.

When I visited Ireland in 1994 and 1996, David Smith of Cloughbally Upper (who was a wonderful oral historian) gave me a lot of information, some of which is on tape.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has connections to my family.
