I am looking for my great-great-grandmother, Rose McGuire. I have her death certificate, and this is what I know for sure:

  • born 17 March 1967 in Ireland
  • parents Michael McGuire and Ann(a) McMan(n)us
  • married James Seery, also from Ireland
  • lived in New Jersey
  • children Anna, James, and Mary Rose
  • died 17 November 1926 in Essex County, near Toronto
  • buried 20 November 1926 at St. Alphonsus Cemetery

The most likely birth place I have found is Bawnboy.

    Yes, the death certificate says she was born 17 March 1867. Her daughter provided the information, and it's possible she got the year wrong. She seemed to be pretty definite about it all, though.

    I am only getting back to you.  Do you have your family on Ancestry.com

    I searched their records & there are a number relating to the birth of Rose McGuire.

     

    It may be quicker if you give the above information to Cavan Genealogy & they should be able to locate the exact records for her with the parents as you suggest
