I'm looking for a death record for Denis DOOLAN. I believe he was b 1795 there abouts in Clare &  died around 1865 as his wife Ellen (MORAN) DOOLAN emigrated to Nsw 1865 . They were married 1815-1820 Clare. Their first daughter Mary Ellen (Margaret) was b 9 Mar 1822 • Rathbourney Ballyvaughan Co Clare Ireland . She is my 2nd great grandmother. Mary along with her sister Catherine b 1824 emigrated in 1841 on board the " Earl Grey" .They also had a son Patrick b 1826 & 2 daughters who died as infants 1 in 1828 & 1 in 1830. Patrick I believe died in Clare . He married Bridget Blood around 1852 in Clare. I've looked at many records but can't seem to find any death records for him. In 1855 Griffith's Valuations there is a Denis DOOLAN in Kilkeedy Corofin.

 Occupier:Denis Doolan Lessor:Marquis Thomond County:Clare Barony:Inchiquin Parish:KilkeedyTownland:Culleen OS Page Numbers:11. This may be him.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Civil registration of deaths (and other events) started in 1864. I looked through the indexes and did not find a Denis or Patrick Doolan death record in 1864 or 1865. Likely Denis died before 1864 and his widow took some time before she left.
