I am looking for 2 great grandfather, Dennis.Born @1820 in County Clare, probably leaving @1849. He married Ellen Gleason, not sure where.

Civil registration did not begin in Ireland until 1864. Prior to that only church records are available and not in all parishes. If Denis was from Ennis, you may want to check the Co. Clare library site to see what records are available. I checked the National Library site and for some reason they do not have the Ennis parish register online.
