I was looking for info on my Great Great Grandparents, James and Honora Taylor Hickey from County Clare, maybe in Ennis, who died in the Potato Famine and left five children homeless. My great grandfather, Thomas Hickey, was six years old at the time. He and his 13-year old brother, John, went to Scotland to tend sheep making $25.00. I am not sure if that was monthly or not. I was trying to find out who helped them and where the girls went and who took care of them? Margaret was 3 and Catherine was a baby, maybe 1 or 2 years old. Also, I would like to find James & Honora's parents and siblings.

I responded to your earlier message. http://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/message-board/hickey-john-thomas-co…
If you think they may have been from Ennis, here is a link to the parish register. http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0782
You will note that baptismal records start in 1841 so at most only the records for Margaret and Catherine may be on the register.
