Hi, Looking for information re Barry/ Considine family. Richard Barry and his wife Catherine née Considine with their Thomas, Michael, Mary, Julia, David and John left from Plymouth 21/12/1856 on the Royal Albert for South Australia, arriving 29/3/1857. I know they came from County Clare and have just discovered that the youngest son John was baptised May 1852, in parish Inagh, diocese of Killaloe. I am hoping to find out any information that may still exist. Thank you.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Unfortunately, the RC parish records for Inagh parish start in February 1850 for baptisms http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0791 Unless the next oldest son/daughter was baptized February 1850 or later a record would not exist. I also tried searching for the marriage record in case they were married in a different church and got no record. The 1855 Griffith Valuation head of household listing for Inagh parish showed a Richard Barry in Ballyea South townland and likely this is your ancestor. There was also a Mary Considine who was subletting from Richard Barry and I would assume that Mary was the mother of Catherine. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/clare/inagh.htm Go to www.askaboutireland.ie for more details on the size of the plots etc.
