I am having difficulty tracking down more information on James O'Halloran, my great grandfather. He was born around 1855 and was an assisted immigrant to Australia on the ship Jerusalem when he was 19. The manifest states that he was a labourer, from Kilmore Clare, that he could read and write and that he was Roman Catholic. He married Mary Ann Jones in Sydney in 1877.
I hope to find his exact birth details and parentage. The further I can go back, the better, though I know that many records have been destroyed. I'd be grateful for any help. Diane

There are four townlands called Kilmore in Co. Clare in the following civil parishes: Kilmurry, Killone, Killokennedy and Tulla but none in Killimer parish. I looked at the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listings for O'Hallorans and Hallorans in those four parishes.
