Catherine GARVEY born at Sixmilebridge in 1849, came to Queensland, Australia in 1867 along with other family members( staggered arrivals over a number of years) including her sisters BRIDGET, MARY, MARGARET, ANN, and her brother Michael.
Any information regarding GARVEY family members appreciated.

Thank you for your query. The Clare County Library has a very good website that has a lot of very good genealogical information. If you go into the website at www.clarecountylibrary.ie/genealogy, you can access the Griffiths Valuation and the Tithe Applotment Books to try to pinpoint a townland. I believe that the Griffiths Valuation would be a good place to start. In addition, it would be helpful if you had her father's and/or mother's name as the head of household is listed. There is also a tab on the right of donated material and you may find that there has been some transcriptions of the parish register. Sixmilebridge was also known as Kilfinaghta parish.
