  • Hi,

I found a passenger list for Michael McNamara leaving Queenstown - New York on 27 August, 1904 on SS Celtic.  Michael is age 20 and going to Mrs McMahon of 404 West 56th Street, NY.  It states he is from the Parish of Moynoe in Clare.

In the 1901 Census for Fossamore, Scariff there is a Mary McNamara (widow) with three children.

I am confused when you say 'Michael came over in 1865 according to the 1900 Census' when you say he was b May 1884!

  • Thank you very much!

You are right - if he was born in May, 1884 that would be very confusing.  A typo on my part.  Should have read May, 1844.

    Kindest regards,
