Request information about Mathew and Mary Dinan, born ca. 1798, and Dennis and Margaret Dinan, also born in the late 1700s. These families and their children emigrated to Detroit, Michigan, USA, in 1849.

Have you looked at the Clare County Library website? They are a terrific resource for genealogical information. They have transcribed the Tithe Applotment Books for the county which were recorded in the 1820s. That might greatly assist you in narrowing down the townland in Tuamgraney where your Dinan ancestors came from. In addition, they have a lot of donated material that has been transcribed such as passenger lists, graveyard headstones, and some church records.
