Geary ship building

Thanks to rootsireland and the local volunteers who indexed the Corkbeg cemetery, I have located my great-grandparents in Aghada. Redmond Geary and Mary Moore were married in Aghada in 1811. I also located a grave for a Redmond Geary from 1808 in the Corkbeg cemetery.

When I was in the area this past summer, I chatted with the genealogist at the Cobh Heritage Center and told him I was about to visit the cemetery. He told me that there are still Gearys in the area and that the family has been involved in ship building for generations.

Any suggestions as to where I might look to find out more about my Geary ancestors?
