I am looking for information on Thomas Walsh and his daughters Delia Walsh and Mary Walsh. I have a ship's manifest from 1885 that lists Delia Walsh age 10 and Mary Walsh age 8 traveling with Ann Egan age 40 coming from Ballingeary. Delia, Mary and Thomas settled in Chicago, Illinois. Delia married Michael Sayers in1890. I am looking for information on this family. Any information would be appreciated.

You could try searching www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie (a subscription site) for information on your Walsh ancestors. As the children were born after 1864 will should be able to locate a civil record of their birth and therefore confirm the townland they lived in and their parents? name and occupation. There may also be a record on Griffith?s Valuation for Thomas that you can search at the link below. The Valuation was a survey of land tax taken throughout the 1850s.
