I received this from the Mallow Heritage Center:
Ballyclough Parish:
Patrick Leahy married Judith (Julia) Connors on 13 April, 1845 in Ballyclough Parish. Witnesses were Catherine Scully and Bessy Barrett.
Children:
Mary Leahy- June 26, 1853- witnesses were Maurice Carley and Bessy Barrett. There is an address at this time of "Mount North."
Michael Leahy - June 24, 1855- witnesses were John Brien and Norry Connors. Michael left Ireland in the early 1880's and married Mary Kingston in New York City.
I do not have death records on Patrick, Julia or Mary. Looking to further my search on this family.

Mount North is a townland in Ballyclogh civil parish so the Leahy family likely lived there. Suggest you look at www.familysearch.org for death index records for Patrick and Julia. They lived in the Mallow registration district. if you find a likely lead, you can then write to the GRO www.groireland.ie for a copy of the record.

No luck so far on the death records. I do know that Patrick and Julia had at least three children, Kate (1852) Mary (1853), Michael (1855). Kate married Patrick Browne in 1872 and the 1901 census shows them living on St. Josephs Road, Mallow with 7 children and Julia Leahy. Looking for additinal information on this family.

I found two possible death index records for a Patrick Leahy and a Julia Leahy in the Mallow registration district. This Patrick was born in 1812 and died in 1868 and the Julia was born in 1822 and died in 1882. Possibly they are your relatives. To get copies of these records, you need to write to the general register Office to request copies. Go to this link http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx Hit the link in the middle of the page for Death certificates in English. You will likely get a screen asking for a User Name and Password. Hit cancel and the form should appear. Fill out the form (twice) and provide the info in the index records: year quarter/year of death, registration district ( Mallow) and the volume and page numbers where the records are recorded. (15 and 301 for Patrick, 5 and 434 for Julia). Make sure you ask for a copy which should cost around 4 euros for each record. You can also ask the GRO to e-mail you the copies. Let me know if you have any questions.

Death record was a match for Patrick Leahy. He died at Mount North on July 7, 1868. Would there be a record of where he is buried and are there graveyards other than the church graveyard at Ballyclough that would be in the vicinity of Mount North? Looking to visit the area and would like to visit the graves if they can be located.
