Hi, I am looking for info about the Drinan and Murphy families. Daniel Murphy was born in January 1841 and was baptised in the parish (Clontead/Belggoly/ Tracton). His parents were Owen Murphy and Mary Drinan. He was part of a chain migration to the Maitland area where his uncle John Drinan had established connections.
Daniel was accompanied on this voyage by other family members sponsored by John Drinan: Johanna Drinan; Maurice Drinan; Thomas Drinan; Helena Drinan. John Drinan sponsored other family members to NSW: Honora and Mary Drinan who arrived 13 March 1877.
The Drinan family farm was at Ringabella in Cork.
My grandmother, Evelyn Bridget Murphy, received presents from the family at home in Ireland when she was younger . She was born 1900. i am keen to reconnect with any members of the family. If you can help me please email watagans@gmail.com.

Just to let you know there are Drinans burried in the graveyard of the neighbouring parish of Nohoval, there might be a connection?

Hi Grace, Thank you SO much. I have collated as much info as I have to hand and will attach it to this email. Tracton was certainly the baptismal place of my lot, as you will see from the attachment.
Best wishes
Kelle
