James Handlon

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to research our ancestors. The information I am seeking is about my great-great grandfather, James Handlon or O'Handlon. He and his family departed Cove, Cork on the ship, Regulis, in 1825, for Canada. On the manifest, it was written that they were from Ballyhooly, Cork. Ballyhoulihan is also listed. The family information on the manifest was James (father) age 42, spouse, Isabella Elizabeth Cavanaugh 40, children- Michael 20, Maurice (Morris)18, Richard 16, Mary 10, Thomas 8, Johanna 4, Catherine 2. My great grandfather, William Handlon, was born to James and  Isabella in Canada in 1832. Eventually, William came to work and reside in Old Warrington, FL, which is now known as the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL.He married my great grandmother, Isabella, and one of their daughters was my grandmother, Cecilia Handlon Boyden. I am trying to find out if Ballyhooly was the birthplace of James and Isabella, and if not, I'd like to find their origins. I'd like to trace my Irish ancestors back as far as I am able to do so. I am traveling to Ireland next year and would like to learn as much as possible by that time. Any help, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
