My name is Katelyn Hanna and I'm searching for my great grandfather David Hanna who was born in about 1905 in Belfast somewhere. He was an orphan in Nazareth House (as proven by the 1911 Census when he was aged six). We have very little information on him and really don't know where to go because of him being an orphan. I've already contacted Nazareth House who currently don't have the records. I was hoping he might have been baptised somewhere? He is 'Roman Catholic' in 1911 census. We THINK his mother was 'Rose Hanna' but we have no proof of that. Please help. It is thought that he was born on March 14th, 1905 but again that is not proven.

Katelyn:
I located a birth index record for a David Hanna in 1905 in the Belfast registration district. No guarantee that this is your GGF. If you want a copy of the record, you can contact the GRO www.groireland.ie Fill out their form and provide the quarter/year of birth, registration district and the colume and page number ( 1 and 412). Costs around 4 euros.
