I am having trouble tracing my Dealy and Reardon ancestors that came from the Durrus, Bantry , Bandon areas of Cork.

My great great grandfather was William Dealy, a police constable in Middlesex who migrated to UK from Ireland in about 1830 with his wife Mary and 2 children Margret (b 1833) and William ( born c1831). In various censuses and death certificate William was shown as being born in Durrus and also Bantry. His father was named as William Dealy on his second marriage certificate.

His second marriage in 1847  in UK  was to a widow Ellen Hammersley (nee Rearden). She was born about 1811 in Bandon and her father was Dennis Reardon.

Is anyone able to give me any more information on William Dealy. I suspect that his first wife may have been Mary Ann Evans but am unable to confirm this.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Have you had a look at www.irishgenealogy.ie for any records of the family? I had a look for any of the Dealy family but couldn?t seem to locate anything within the relevant years. Do you have any idea when William was born or have you been able to find out anything from his police records? It may be the case that William was born at a time that pre-dates the parish records. Bantry is in the Civil Parish of  Kilmacomogue where RC records start in 1822 though earlier parts of records exist for the 1790s.
