Hi looking for family of Johanna Donovan of Blarney Cork. Johanna came to Australia in 1854 from the Cork Union Workhouse. Her Parents were named as Timothy and Ellen. She also said she had a cousin named Ellen Barrett. I am trying to connect the two families but can find no records of births for any of the Donovan or Barrett family.

Hello www.rootsireland.ie has records for Blarney back to 1791. www.nationalarchives.ie for Griffith valuation &tithe applotment records. Also has 1901/1911 census returns . Regards Frances

Hello Narelle,
I went to www.rootsireland.ie and searched for a baptismal record for Johanna Donovan. When I narrowed the search parameters using Timothy and Ellen I didn't come up with anything.
However I searched for a Johanna Donovan, father Timothy Donovan, mother ??? Barrett.
It came up with one record.
Church baptism, Donovan Johanna, 1847 Co. Cork
I did a little bit more digging and found that it was in the parish of Donoughmore in Co. Cork
Could this be her?
