Hi Anthony...are you the Tony Whelen that is my cousin in UK? If so My sister Maria and myself may have exchanged emails with you in the past..regarding our Grandmother Johanna Whelen wife of Michael. I lost contact with you (email address problems)...however noticed this post on this website after googling the whelens of mitchelstown....I dont know if you have this info..but my research on ancestry.co.uk shows Denis and Mary Lee marriage in parish records for Killdorrery..I found it by chance..because the fore names are in the latin eg...Denis is written as Dionisium and Mary as Marium ( does'nt make research any easier)...I was interested to see on your enquiry Denis possibly born around 1820-1825...that helps me out as in our family he is down as abt 1805...and I have been checking to see if he was married twice??

Anyway hope you get this and maybe swap info again.

Yes i am your cousin in the U.K . Nice to hear from you hope you & the family are keeping well. Thank you for the info on Denis & Mary i  already have it. I downloaded a copy of their marriage the only thing that was missing was their parents names. Denis was in fact born in Kildorrey September 1825 & Mary Lee was born in Kildorerry in May 1827. I don,t know what info you have but i do have some on Mary & her family & a little on Denis & his siblings.
