My gr.grandmother is Mary Rogers, b abt. 1810; she married Robert Weldon of Cooline House in co. Cork in 1830. I don't have definate proof but a researcher said her father was Robert Rogers of Spital House, just outside Buttevant. I understand the Rogers family also lived at Bregoge House. I have traced the Rogers (all via internet ancestry trees) from Robert Rogers to Noblett Rogers (3 Noblett's) to another Robert Rogers of Lota, Cork. I have not found a birth record for Mary, but she died 3 Apr 1886 at age 76 and is buried in Knawhill Cemetery, co. Cork. I am interested in finding some direct proof that Robert Rogers of Spital House is indeed her Father. Any additional information about this Rogers family would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Catholic records on Buttevant do not start until 1814:
However, in the19th century new Catholic parishes were created so starting dates can sometimes be misleading. Many parishes changed their geographical spread so you may find earlier records relating to your family in the records of adjoining parishes:
