Hello,

Could anyone tell me the names of the cemeteries in Carrigtwohill where people may have been buried in the early to mid 1800's?

Thank you very much!

  • The Cemetery in Carrigtwohill is St Marys. Theres a new cemetery which borders an older one and from what i recall there are some very very old gravestones there. I dont know if any survey has been done of it but some of the stones are very detailed indeed but very weather worn and difficult to read.
Am i reading this message board correctly ordo you also have an interest in arles cemetery

  • Thank you very much for this. I don't think St. Mary's in Carrigtwohill has its graves listed on line, unfortunately. I hope they do one day.

I'm not sure if I asked about Arles or not. It's been a few months since I worked on genealogy. Is Arles cemetery in the Ballymacoda Ladysbridge area?

    Thank you.

  • Recent information found, My Grand Mother’s Birth name was Bridget Elizabeth Burke, according to the Hospital where she passed away in 1948, her Year of Birth was 1891. She was from Carrigtohill. So I am looking for the Burke family line in Carrigtohill.
    Thanks in Advance
