John Francis Lyons b. 1888 d. Jul 25, 1963 married Catherine Kelleher b. May 17, 1884 d. Oct 12, 1966.  They are buried in St. Nicholas Church Cemetery, Kilcorney, County Cork, Ireland.  I am looking for anyone that would be related to Catherine.  Her parents were Jeremiah Kellher b. Oct 24, 1844 d. Jan 11, 1904 married to Mary O'Shea (I think), b. Feb 22, 1850 d. unknown

    Cannot confirm the connection yet but a neat coincidence.

    My family also has a Lyons/Kelleher marriage. Patrick Kelleher (1830/1838 - 1917) married Mary Lyons (1841-1915) in Coachford, Aghabullogue in 1866. Patrick's father listed as Timothy Keleher; Mary's father listed as Jeremiah Lyons. Patrick & Mary lived in Beenalaght, near Bweeng Cross & Boola, in Glantane Parish. I wonder if we can connect your Jeremiah (1844-1906) to my Patrick? Brothers?  Do you know Jeremiah's father's name? How about where John Lyons and Catherine Kelleher were born or married? Patrick & Mary's first daughter was named Catherine (1867-1940).

  • I do not know Jeremiah's father's name for sure.  That is why I am trying to hookup with any Kellehers from Cusloura, Co Cork.  They no longer live there but Catherine's family was there in the 1901 and 1911 census.  On John's tombstone it says Gurrane, Castlecor, Mallow.  Catherine Kelleher was born Clondrohid, County Cork, Ireland.  I do not have their marriage information.
