My 2xggrandfather was James Kelleher. He and his family arrived in Bangor Maine U.S.A. around 1850. On our family lot is a stone with this message:
Erected by James Kelleher and his wife Hanora Donahue formerly of Curelahey Parish of Clondrohid near Macroom county of Cork Ireland in memory of their children
Patrick Nov 1 1863 age 27
Michael Nov 26 1860 age 21
Johanna Dec 30 1860 age 17

This is my information. I know James parents were John and Johanna Madden Kelleher. I know that they brought these 3 children and their eldest son John from Ireland with them. My ggrandfather was born in Bangor Maine in 1852. Thank you.

I would really appreciate any birth/death/marriage , Baptism documents.

    The townland was likely Curraleigh in Clondrohid civil parish.

    Here is a link to the parish register for Clondrohid parish http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0034  I looked at Roots Ireland and the only baptismal record I located was for John in 1834. I did not find the baptismal records for the other children but possibly they are on the register. I also did not locate the marriage record.

    You may also want to consider autosomal DNA testing.

    i wonder if you could help we have a founding member of a Kelleher group who’s been instrumental in pulling Kellehers (from Us, UK, Ireland, Chanda etc..) together who originated in clondrohid. We would like to acknowledge this as she is going through a medical challenge and time maybe an important factor.
