Looking for any information on Daniel Sullivan and his wife Honora Shea, and children. Their son Cornelius born 1810 immigrated to USA 1830s (my ancestor). Any information appreciated!!!

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

The records for Clondrohid RC parish start in 1807 for baptisms and 1822 for marriages. Here is a link to the parish register

I searched on Roots Ireland for part of Co. Cork (including Clondrohid) and they did not have the baptismal record for Cornelius or other children of Daniel and Honora.  I assume you have documentation that they were from Clondrohid? If they were from another parish which is in the Diocese of Cork and Ross then the records are not on Roots but on a free site www.irishgenealogy.ie  Of course, many parishes do not have records available back to 1810. Let me know.

  • Hello Roger,

Thank you for your quick response, and for your time to look through the records!

I have no documentation about Cornelius Sullivan's origins in Ireland except for the family gravestone here in the USA which reads "of Clondruhid, County Cork."

I will research the site you recommended and hopefully find some information there.

    Thank you again!

    Regards,

    Kaaren
